7 inch George F. Cram terrestrial globe - Great Depression era $225.00

A beautiful peace of history and a true collector's item. Highly detailed for so small a surface. Mounted with axis pivot without meridian on round dome base. Coated paper gores over pasteboard, time dial at North Pole. Oceans finished in medium blue shellached to appear green. With Ecliptic, Equinoctial Colure, tropics of Cancer and Capricorn and analemma. Shows ocean currents, nautical distances in red, short wave stations in red. Shows Asian railroads and the Great Wall in China. Shows Manchuria or Manchoukuo and Ethiopia (Abyssinia) before the Italian invasion.

Some surface rubbing, scratches and discoloration but early Cram with a lot of detail. Please look carefully at all the pictures as they are part of the description.
